Portumna G.A.A. Club held their A.G.M.in the Shannon Oaks Hotel last Friday night. The chairman Dan Lynch welcomed everyone to the A.G.M.and a minutes silence was held on behalf of deceased members of the club. The Tommy Moore cup and the Tom Callanan took pride of place at the top table. In his address Dan congratulated the senior team on winning back to back All Ireland club titles and on winning their third county title in a row five county titles in seven years is a huge achievement.He thanked all the managers players selectors and all the people involved with the teams from adult down to the juvenile sector. The chairman said while every team was not successful they all did well in their relevant championships.He pointed out that greater emphasis will have to be placed on our juvenile teams this year as they are the club's future. Dan thanked all his fellow Officers for all their hard work during the year. The chairman congratulated Ollie and Joe Canning on their All Star selections. They become the first set of Galway brothers to receive All Star Awards in the one year.He thanked Al and Noreen Hayes for their continued financial support also Ronnie and Phyllis Curley who were the sponspors of the recent Golf Classic which the Club held, and all the people who supported the club in the last year.Dan thanked all the people who raised finance for the club especially the lotto sellars.He finished his address by wishing all the teams in the club the best of luck in 2010 and in particular to the senior team in their All Ireland semi match with Dunloy.Secretary Fiona O Meara gave a very comprehensive report of all the club activities in 2009 while the Treasurer Celia Keane gave a detailed account of the Club's finances.

Players Representative: Ollie Canning
Hurling Board Delegate: Sylvie Donoghue
Childrens Officer: Emma Keane.
Senior Manager: Johnny Kelly
Junior A Manager: Michael Monaghan
Under 21 Manager: Ivan Canning
The Junior B Manager and Minor Mmanager will be elected at next meeting.
